Attended a rather entertaining Sumo wrestling championship at purpose built Kokusai Centre. Snacks & goodies to buy at the ground floor before heading up to the 3rd floor where the cheapest tickets were. Auditorium quite compact and we had an excellent view of the ritualistic proceedings. Say at least 20+ bouts even though we arrive towards the end of the 1st or 2 sessions (2.30-6.00). Each bout starts with “warm up” heaving , huffing & chest beating before the actual battle. Most last 10-20 secs before they out push each other to the edge or slipped on to the sandy floor. Occasionally we get all thrilled with a beast of a battle where the loser could get thrown out the ring. Good fun for a first timer. One for the bucket list

Visited here to watch the sumo tournament! It was awesome! It lasts all day from 8am-6pm. We got there around 2pm for the intermediate and professional divisions. I would recommend going all day though! It goes by fast and it’s fun to watch! We bought the two seats with the table which we accidentally bought two sections because we didn’t know that the two seats and the table were one package. Although our seats were very nice, I would recommend getting floor seats closer to the main stage. The seats can be kinda confusing when trying to find them but the staff is very helpful!

We attended the grand sumo tournament and wanted to share some key details about the event: - The ticket is valid for the entire day, allowing one re-entry. - You can find drinks, fast food, and event souvenirs inside the venue. - In our experience, the program was followed precisely, and everything concluded by 6 PM. - We parked in a lot about 15 minutes away, which turned out to be a good decision, especially since there was a long line and heavy traffic around the venue when the event ended. Overall, the event was very well organized.
