Wonderful, beautiful slopes and scenery. The instructors are absolutely wonderful and patient with us. She is able to help us identify the fault in our techniques and helped us correct them systematically and patiently. And my daughter's instructor definitely guided her well as she just took up snowboarding on this trip and she is on the slope on the second day.
The ski rental at the new furano prince side (the other side is not open yet early season) is also patient and helpful. And I am able to change my ski (getting a longer one) and my shoe (to a wider one) without any hassle.
Moreover not overcrowded and you get to enjoy true Japanese hospitality.
Minus one star for not opening up the conveyor belt system for the learner slope as that makes it hard for us who are still learning.
Will change it to 5 star if they had operated the conveyor system earlier instead of 3 weeks later near January after my trip.
But overall, highly recommended for ski lovers who wants to avoid the...
Read moreI've been to 5 ski resorts in Japan and this joins the highly overrated list. Everything from the lockers, lift tickets to food is over priced. But this can all be justified if the runs are better. There's only one lift from the terminal suitable for beginners/intermediate skiers. But that one starts only after you walk up the mountain a little, which makes no sense. And even when you get to it, the queues are always long waiting for your turn. So be ready to wait for a long time in queue. The queue for the one gondola to go to the top of the mountain (for advanced skills level) never goes away. On top of all of this, their classification of beginner, intermediate and black runs are completely off. Their beginner runs are not suitable for beginners at all, as there are big drops in the middle of them. So go on them only if you are almost intermediate+.
The only good thing about the ski resort is that there are decent food options and a good restaurant that overlook...
Read moreWe skied here in the second half of February and enjoyed the quiet and not so crowded slopes. There are two sections of slopes, one for each of the two Prince hotels ( old and new). The northern part is the older and more forgiving part which also has a shorter season than the newer southern slopes of the new Prince hotel which are open from late November to early May. The powder snow here is nearly as good as Niseko with a lot less...
