Former Hakodate Branch Office of Hokkaido Government — Attraction in Hakodate

這棟建築物位於「公会堂」樓梯下來的右側，這座連同山牆高度超過6米的建築物在公園內很難不去多看它幾眼，我們順路先經過「四天王像」後來到這裡。

建築物本身承襲許多殖民地復興風格的細節（Colonial Revival style）、古典復興風格（ Classical Revival style ）與些許喬治亞建築風格（ Georgian Architecture style ）及科林斯式風格（ Corinthian style），和「公会堂」雖有些地方神似但技師「家田於菟之助」採用「古典復興」框架並給于更多「殖民地復興」元素進行建物規劃。

融合（Colonial Revival style ）、（ Classical Revival architecture ）與（ Georgian Architecture style ）共同元素：

1.承襲了殖民地復興風格特色，主建物前方屋根中央大三角「切妻破風」，中央山牆屋根左右兩側對稱帶有喬治亞風格相同「眉ドーマー屋根 」的「天窓 」。

2.屋根「軒蛇腹」牆面「コーニス」作法則與「公会堂」或喬治亞、古典復興及殖民地復興不同，沒有水平線板的「歯飾り」。

3.窗戶為推拉式「上げ下げ窓」設計，與傳統殖民地復興及喬治亞風格相同，為6x6「格子窓」設計。

4.主建物為2階長方形的建築，兩側「窓台 」1與2階為對稱式設計。

5.「窓台 」沒有殖民地時代復興風格常見的百葉窗設計，比較接近喬治亞風格作法。

6.正面古典柱子的門廊直接與2階上屋根的中央山牆「軒天」相連接，是 古典復興風格很重要的元素。

7.入口1階大門上方有一個小山牆裝飾與門口燈飾也是標準喬治亞風格的作法。

Former gov building which you can use as a resting stop ask you hike the hills around the city of Hakodate. You can even get some Hokkaido creams here from the bakery shop call Jolly Jellyfish on the first floor and enjoy it on the second floor...

The place is colonial and yet aesthetically decorated. It nows operates as a coffee / lunchette. The staff is nice and the atmosphere quite relaxing. Perfecto make it your Tea/Coffee break among the long and slope-ry walks...
