Tea Room Victorian Rose — Restaurant in Hakodate

There was no waiting upon our arrival on Thursday 1pm. There was a discount of 10% if you visited one of the surrounding English museums.

At first glance, the price shown on the menu was 2800 yen for the afternoon tea set. The reception reminded us that 2800 yen was per person price and the photo shown was 2 persons' portion. In short, to get exactly as the set shown in the photo, we need to pay 2800 x2 = 5600 yen. But if we did visit one of the nearby English museums, we will get 10% discount 560 yen from the 5600 yen. Therefore we only paid 5040 yen. We topup another 100 yen for darjeeling tea from India. The pricing was quite confusing at the beginning.

But, the afternoon tea set really justified its cost. All the scones, cake, sandwiches and tea were outstanding. We were told to opened up the tea pot only after 5 minutes, and the tea was astonishing good.

I came in here because it had a sign that says rose ice cream. It didn't disappoint as the ice cream I had was delicious and very creamy and had dried rose petals as a garnish.
