This was a great place to see. It's a former residence belonging to a prominent businessman. It was really interesting to see how the rich lived back then, and to see the differences in the Japanese and Western room. There is also a small gallery in the storeroom. The garden in the back of the house was small, but very tranquil. I almost skipped this place, but I didn't. This actually turned out to be one of my favourite sights in Hakodate -- it was like...

This was a great place to see. It's a former residence belonging to a prominent businessman. It was really interesting to see how the rich lived back then, and to see the differences in the Japanese and Western room. There is also a small gallery in the storeroom. The garden in the back of the house was small, but very tranquil. I almost skipped this place, but I didn't. This actually turned out to be one of my favourite sights in Hakodate -- it was like a hidden gem!

「元町公園」から「カール・レイモン 歴史展示館」に移動する際に通りかかり、人の出入りが多かったので確認したところ見学の無料開放しているようでした。 通常は大人は1000円の見学料がかかっていたようです。所有者が変わることにより最後に無料開放しているようでした。 後々たまたまニュースで拝見しましたが、所有者変更後は観覧などはできなくなり高価格帯のホテルとして活用を目指していくようです。 正直、旧相馬家住宅というのはあまり存じ上げていなく興味がありませんでしたが無料開放とのことでしたので、おそらく最初で最後の訪問をしました。 無料開放ということもあり、見学者はかなり多かったです。 建物は2階建てで内部も広く、中庭なども見学でき良かったです。 建物内部を見学の際は靴を脱ぎ見学をするのですが、かなり床が冷たく途中から少々厳しかったです。 今回は無料なので良い印象でしたが、もし1000円の入館料だとしら個人的にはあまりおすすめはしていなかったと思います。 今後はホテルとしての活用を目指すとのことでしたが、個人的にかなり内部を改造しないと厳しいかと思いました。 特にバリアフリーなどなく、階段はかなり急で通路も狭い箇所が多いのでそのままでの活用は厳しいかと思います。 2025年4月13日まで無料開放でき、2025年5月から所有者が変わるとのことでした。 またリーフレットをもらえますが、日本語版は配布終了し韓国語or中国語版をいただけました。 (掲載されている写真内容は同じで言語部分のみ異なるそうです。)

Korean, English, chinese(maybe) the voice guidance available. KOREAn brochure. Winter season and every Thursday closed. 전통건축이지만 현대적 감각의 세련된 의장을 하고 있다. 민트, 초록, 네이비 칼라가 매우 아름답다. 가벼운 문살에 홑유리를 끼운 문이 날렵하다. 창문과 마당에서 하코다테 항과 본인이 돈을 희사해서 지은 공회당이 보인다. 내부사진을 못 찍게 하는데 이해가 안간다. 방문객도 거의 없다. 홍보도 더 하고 좀 더 친화적으로 서비스도 개선해서 입장료를 내릴 방법을 모색해야 한다.
