After visiting Kawaguchiko, we were eager to see the iconic view of Mt. Fuji with Hamaya Lighthouse and Torii Gate at Shin-nase Beach in Kamakura. While the weather didn't cooperate (Mt. Fuji was hidden behind thick clouds), the scenic drive along the coast was still worth it.

Compared to the crowded and chaotic Shichirigahama, Shin-nase Beach was a peaceful oasis. The remote location and serene atmosphere made for a lovely experience, even without the perfect view of Mt. Fuji.

Best spot for the Mt. Fuji, Sea, Shrine all in the one frame. Make sure the weather forecast is sunny in Kamakura and around Mt. Fuji, and bring telephoto lens (135mm and above and some good luck) I arrived around noon and already bit haze over the sea horizon. Early in the morning is probably more ideal. Anyway, being there enjoying the waves, breeze and the view of Mt. Fuji is just unforgettable. Many local residents go for fishing, bbq and picnic on the beach - it’s nice to be around them and have a good meal in...

Really amazing place that you can take amazing photos of Mt. Fuji if you’re driving. It’s not specifically a “view of point” though, so don’t expect many interesting things exactly at the location, but you do have a nice town nearby, some cozy restaurants and cafes, and some shops near it.

It’s not hard to park as there isn’t too many...
