This temple was recommended by a friend of mine who studies Buddhist temples. I asked what temple was his favorite in Kamakura and he said this one! He was right. The Buddha’s inside ( pics not allowed) were marvelous. Ornate, well kept. Traditional. This temple was also on the 7-temples for the 7 gods day trip around Kamakura, where you buy a special board and go and get the seal from each temple. The staff was very nice, the grounds were marvelous, the omamori well priced. There is a 100¥ entry fee, but every penny goes to upkeep....
