During my visit to Kamakura, I discovered a Gillette steakhouse. Normally, we would opt for pork cutlets, but this time I wanted to try something different and ordered their signature Gillette beef steak. It was my first time having this type of beef, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of cuts available, including the option of wagyu beef.

Read moreIt was my friend's first time trying gyukatsu and they were excited. We came around 3pm where there was no line, and we were served quickly. The restaurant was basically empty. However, we did not receive a hot plate.

Also, the gyukatsu was almost lukewarm and the point of the hot plate is to heat it up. We had already eaten half of our meal before I asked for a hotplate which we received with no apology or anything.
I still think it was a good experience, but I'm just a bit sad because the server didn't notice yet we were the only ones in the restaurant at some point. If my friend was alone, they wouldn't have noticed and would have eaten her whole meal without...
