Kyoto University of Advanced Science, Uzumasa Campus — Attraction in Kyoto

I studied here for two years, attending the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Systems Engineering. Here is my honest experience.

This school is severely underfunded, understaffed, and mismanaged. There is around a 40:1 teacher to student ratio, and the teachers have no time to assist students. The staff members are overworked and underpaid due to cost cutting measures.

As a student, you suffer from this fact by getting a subpar education. Please be warned! Please look into the school with great detail before entering. They accept any students they can get. Once they are attending classes, and are unhappy with the quality of education, the school's mentality is "You applied, it's your fault."

The school's idea of a "Street smart engineer" is such a good idea, but the follow through with this idea is nonexistent.

I gave this school 2 out of 5 stars because there ARE great teachers that are in this school, that genuinely care about their students, creating high quality curriculum. Unfortunately, this is overshadowed by one or two terrible teachers, who do not care about students education, and unfortunately these teachers teach mandatory classes, where if you fail ONE class, you have to retake an ENTIRE YEAR.

There are many underlying problems with KUAS, so I ask you to please ask yourself if a subpar education, in a failing school, while paying private school prices is worth you or your...

Literally they just bluffed on the scholarship programs they said they are offering.. seriously a waste of time here .. do not apply here in a hope for getting any type of financial aid or scholarships from this university.. seriously disheartened that such a large organization is doing such stuffs and in the name of such offers they are not providing any thing rather they are showing same excuse to every applicant they they are not eligible no matter how good you are or what your eca or achievements are .. please be aware and careful while applying and do check all the informations regarding this...
