Loved this place! Seeing the architectural elements that made this a ninja house for the protection of the owner was amazing. Really enjoyed here but be careful if you are very large as the ceilings are very very low and some of the stairs are a little small. However a must visit place, the contraptions employed by the Ninja were such a joy to see. The guide speaks no English so ensure you have a Japanese translator with you to get the best experience. You have to book online before you go so don’t...

Need book in advance via website. Guiding tour is 3times/day(max10psn) Need Japanese speaking in group for safety reason. Ogawa family has owned this house in 350yrs and owner takes us 1hr tour. Interesting history and building. There are hidden stairs, escape route etc that samurai guests could run away from and their guards could battle with energy. Not ninja house, at least not mentioned in their...

Nijo Jinya is an amazing experience. You must be able to understand Japanese, so it is well worth finding a guide to take you and make a booking.

The owner conducted the tour and he explained everything clearly and had some great stories. This will be a real highlight of my trip to...
