重要文化財に指定されています。

二の丸御殿への入口となっている唐門は1626年（寛永3年）の後水尾天皇の行幸にあわせて造営され、江戸中期の火災の備えで瓦葺にされたそうですが、明治になって再び檜皮葺に戻されたとのこと。

数ある城門のなかでも、特に煌びやか!!

二の丸御殿の正門で、 優雅な曲線を描く重厚な屋根、「松竹梅に鶴」や「唐獅子」など2013（平成25）年の修復工事でよみがえった極彩色の彫刻は圧巻で、目を見張る素晴らしさです。

左右の築地より一層高い絢爛とした唐門となっていて、切妻造の四脚門で、正面と背面に唐破風をつけ、複雑精妙な彫刻と華麗な金工細工を施してあり、その素晴らしさに思わず感嘆！...

重要文化財唐門／築地 重要文化財唐門 発3年（1626）の資家事に際し、その前年に建てられた。屋根の前と後に、優美な曲線を描＜「普破風」が付けられていることから唐門と呼ばれ、式が最も高く、所や内裏では¥前とも呼ばれる。柱から上の空間すべてに彫刻が入っており、顔や他、松行機、機に花など れしてしや！ 長寿や吉祥を象徴する彫刻が多いが、龍に虎、唐獅子等の霊獣と考えられる彫刻も多く、唐猫子は全部で10頭もいる。聖域を守護する霊戦の多さは、貴質を迎える門にふさわしい。 重要文化財...
