Climbing to the top of the castle keep (Tenshukaku) was like stepping through time. As I looked out over the city, I couldn’t help but imagine what this view must have been like centuries ago—when samurai in armor patrolled the grounds, and messengers ran across the courtyards carrying orders from their lords.

The thick stone walls, wooden beams, and steep staircases all echoed a time when castles were not just beautiful structures, but strongholds of strategy and survival. Standing there, I felt a moment of connection to the past—both the romance and the hardship of the feudal era.

If you have even the slightest interest in Japanese history, this is more than just a view—it’s a living window into the world of the sword. Come to...
