Let me start off by saying this cafe is wonderful and holds a very special place in my heart. Second, I'd like to make a request for anyone who goes to the cafe after reading this. While I was at the cafe eating the absolutely delicious toast and breakfast set, I wrote down names of movies from a few of the posters up on the walls. I have since watched the movies that I wrote down, and all of them have been PHENOMENAL. Now I am deeply regretting not taking a picture of each of the walls of the cafe so I could look back over the other posters and slowly make my way through watching each of the movies featured in the owner's impeccable collection. Read moreOne of the cutest cafes ever! The first time my friend and I came in, we were greeted by the warm and friendly owner, Kenji. His admiration and love for films is touching. I was in awe of his collection of posters and pamphlets. I loved the calm atmosphere, looking through film pamphlets and books while Talking Heads played in the background. I have added so many films to my watchlist by looking through the pamphlets and Kenji’s recommendations. The breakfast and toasted sandwich set was so filling and worth it. He bakes his bread everyday so it’s nice and fresh. I’d recommend getting his baked doughnuts too. So yummy! It kept us going for a long day of exploring Kyoto and other areas. It’s only a short walk from Nijo station too. I would love to come back and recommend coming here to visit this unique cafe....

The dark roast coffee complemented it beautifully, adding a rich depth to each bite.
The atmosphere is warm, with subtle movie references around, making it a unique spot to unwind. Friendly staff, delicious food , and a vibe that makes you want to stay longer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great coffee and...
