Honmaru Garden — Attraction in Matsumoto

When you stand in the middle of the main path leading to Matsumoto Castle, you are actually standing in the middle of the former site of Honmaru Palace. The palace was probably built at the same time as the keep and served as the administrative center and as the residence of the local lord of the castle (daimyo).
