this cafe is a little special as it has 3 counters for ordering. 1 for coffee and drink, 1 for Oyaki, and 1 for Soba. The latter two are from the area.

and the tableware is the same brand with what i use at home, one among couples of brands, either Japanese or European
cant say the service is great. but people in this part of Japan are unlike Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya, Osaka, Kobe, or anywhere along the east coast line
People here are more laid back, truer and more straightforward. Ladies do not have to use heavy make-up. The most fancy space is usually museum, rather than luxury shops

They have oyaki which are sort of like dumplings, but the skin is made from soba (buckwheat) flour. The skin has a good chew to it, and they have a variety of options available such as pickled mustard greens and keema curry! The keema curry oyaki was pleasant and not spicy. It was also surprisingly filling! I came here on a Friday afternoon and there was no wait at all. Read moreLovely spot really near to the castle. We went as we were keen to try oyaki and were delighted with the three we tried - pork, mustard leaves and also aubergine. A number of locally brewed ales on offer too. Seats available inside but as it was a lovely day, we enjoyed the seats outside on the terrace - great to people watch! Only disappointment was the fact that the two most popular oyaki had sold out - chicken curry and potato and cheese but what did we expect rocking up at 2pm so get there earlier.
