Ukimido Pavillion was a lovely area to have a brief visit to while wandering around Nara. It is much quieter and more peaceful than most areas in the city, and you really get the opportunity to see the deer wandering around rather than simply pestering you for food. The area around is absolutely stunning - we visited on a rainy day and it still could not hold back the beauty of the place. The landscaping makes the area very interesting, with rivers and waterfalls not far from the pavillion. We spent about 20 minutes here soaking in the atmosphere and admiring the view - you could do it quicker but I wouldn't feel like you would get the...

SAVE these tips for your visit to Nara 👇🏼🦌 Nara is the perfect destination for a day trip from Kyoto or Osaka, or for a 2 days trips when staying in the city. We’d highly recommend the last, as Nara is best experienced in the early morning or towards sunset. During these times it’s usually not so crowded which also makes the deets a little more relaxed. WHERE TO STAY 🧡 Slow house Nara WHAT TO DO 🧡 walk around Nara Park and feed some deers with the special crackers 🧡 Kofuku-ji Gojunoto (Five Story Pagoda) 🧡 Yoshikien Garden 🧡 Tōdai-ji 🧡 Todaiji Nigatsudo 🧡 Manyo Botanical Gardens (best to visit around end of April) 🧡 Kasuga Taisha 🧡 Ukimido (best sunset spot) WHERE TO EAT 🧡 Kamaiki 🧡 Nakatanidou -Mochi show 🧡 Toyo-no-akari 豐樂(とよのあかり) 🧡 CHAMI - Specialty Coffee Roaster - Nara, JAPAN SAVE for your visit 🇯🇵🦌 #nara #narapark #naratrip #japantravel
