Chanced upon it while wandering around Nara. This place is not in the main nara tourist area but is definitely worth the trip. Super cute beignet shop, with some coffee. I loved the vintage set up which made it feel very home-y. The beignets were also reallllly good. Like fluffy, not too oily, and seasoned well. Plus it didn't feel too heavy. I got the 2 cheese with black pepper one (savory) because the owner said that was his favorite.
