Door To The Sea — Attraction in Odawara

My friend and I visited Sea Door on a Sunday while exploring the area, and it ended up being such a lovely and underrated stop. What made it really special was how the tunnel opened up directly to the sea it had a beautiful reveal that felt peaceful and dramatic at the same time.

You can swim in this area, so I highly recommend bringing or wearing a swimsuit if you’re visiting on a warm day. The water was refreshing and totally worth jumping into, especially after walking around in the heat.

It’s also a super cute Instagram-worthy location. If you’re into photography, or just want to capture a scenic moment, this is a great little stop for it. The best part? Even on the weekend, there were hardly any people around, which made the entire vibe feel peaceful and almost hidden.

If you're already planning to visit the nearby castle or walk around town, definitely carve out a bit of time to check this out. It’s easy to get to, beautiful to look at, and relaxing to dip into. A low-effort, high-reward...

A quiet and enjoyable public place to sit on the beach rocks and enjoy the waves.... nothing there...no facilities....no paths...no benches.... just a rocky and quiet...

【曇りの日の御幸の浜散策】 女友達と2人でお気に入りの強羅温泉からの帰り道、湯本の喧騒を避けるように伊豆箱根バスで小田原駅へ向かいました。途中、以前から気になっていた御幸の浜で途中下車。かまぼこ通りをそぞろ歩き、海へと続く道を進みます。 防波堤の小さなトンネルを抜けると、目の前には広々とした海が広がっていました。砂浜ではなく、小さな丸い小石が敷き詰められた浜辺で、しばし海を眺めました。 残念ながらこの日は曇り空でしたが、それでも海の開放感は十分に感じられました。私たちの他には2組のカップルが静かに海を眺めており、曇りならではの落ち着いた雰囲気を楽しめました。 少し離れた防波堤にも海へ続くトンネルがあり、晴れた日にはまた違った表情を見せてくれるだろうと期待が膨らみました。 次回はぜひ、晴れた日に再訪し、青い空と海が織りなす絶景を堪能したいです。
