A Mixed Experience at an Otherwise Promising Hotel
This hotel presents quite a contrast between its public spaces and guest rooms. The property has significant potential but falls short in several key areas.
Positives: -Excellent location with convenient access to public transportation -Impressive lobby with sophisticated design -Stunning city views -Comprehensive menu with clearly marked vegetarian and vegan options -Convenient access to nearby amenities
Areas for Improvement: -The 25th floor restaurant experience was particularly concerning. Finding an unlit, apparently closed floor with minimal signage or explanation was both confusing and unsettling. Better communication about restaurant hours and closures would have been helpful. -Room service was unfortunately unavailable despite multiple attempts to place an order. This level of service doesn't align with the hotel's advertised standards.
Room Condition: While the basic amenities were present, the room showed signs of wear that seem inconsistent with the hotel's five-star rating: -Plumbing issues including leaking faucets -Difficult-to-operate cold water tap -Inconsistent water temperature control -General signs of needed maintenance and updating
Verdict: While the hotel's public spaces and location are impressive, the room conditions and service issues suggest that some renovation and operational improvements are needed. The contrast between the grand common areas and the room condition was notable. For the rating, guests should expect more consistent quality throughout the property.
Recommendation: Consider requesting an updated room if booking, and verify restaurant availability in advance. The nearby convenience store provides a reliable backup for...
Read moreThis is a convenient hotel to the station only. However, the hotel smell like smoke almost everywhere. The first night we stayed in a room on floor 15th, which was a smoking room, though we had no choice because it is part of a tour we joined . For the other three nights, we booked two connected executive rooms. On the first night (when we were in the smoking room), they told us that our room was a connected room for tomorrow. Turns out, we have the same size room as the first night room except on the 23 floor with non-smoking floor, though we can still smell cigarette in one of our the room. Non-connected room. They say fully booked and no more room left. It is exactly the same size of room except there is a air purifier, a coffee machine, two mini bottle of water and two mini can of juices are free, and two choices for breakfast area. The "Executive Lounge 26F" is very small. There is less food choice compared to " THE LOOP "on 1F. Bathtub is not regularly cleaned (for example, soap on the bathtub remained the same as day 1). Toilet seat is an older model and is flimsy ( it is possible to move the seat in abnormal ways) Staff cannot speak English well. The staff also would not make a call for a taxi for us due to the fact that calls cost money (literally). Very disappointment. I don't recommend this hotel to anybody with asthma or...
Read moreWe were travelling to Osaka as part of a tour, we stayed in this hotel for one night from 07 Feb 2019 to 08 Feb 2019 at ROOM NO. 1507. The room looked clean at first, however, as I turned the pillow up side down (because I had an infant travelling with me so I tried to arrange pillows around him while sleeping to avoid any falling), I saw a quite long line of “blood”. It looked pretty disgusting! The blood was dried but still red! This made me think whether the room maid did not change the bed sheet? How about other amenities in the room, did they get cleaned and changed? When I discovered to blood it was midnight, my baby felt asleep and we would have an early flight tomorrow morning (leaving at 5.45am) so I didnt make any phone call to the reception. I just put away the dirty pillow! Japan is one of the cleanest country in the world I ever known, but such uncomfortable experience in this hotel somehow affects my point of view about the hotel in specific and the...
