⚠️NOT A MUSEUM ⚠️

I found this place on a tourist pamphlet , next to the Sapporo beer museum or other touristic activities... Walked all the wai there and on my arrival : surprise it is not a museum. Just a shop. The owner told us it is "just a name and not an actual museum" well I guess it is a fortunate mistake for them because we were several tourist looking for a museum in there. Still tried the ice cream while I was there, it was ok, but I think it is dishonest to lure people...

However we did get to sample some of their same products here. There's a stand for free tastings, with a list of what they have in store. Some of their sake is also in-store only, and cannot be shipped nor bought online. Overall, they have a nice inventory of sake, and I'd recommend anyone who is curious to try some to visit the Chitosetsuru...

It's just a small liquor store that sells Chitosetsuru brand sake.

There are some small displays taking up about 2m square - that's the 'museum'. Sake tastings not available.

Soft cream machine was being cleaned when I visited, so I tried the sake ice-cream in a cup which was just 'ice milk'. It wasn't anything special.

I suggest doing something else with your time than visiting this liquor store masquerading...

日本酒の試飲が出来ます！車は入口の右横に無料駐車場があります。ソフトクリーム400円は甘酒味で美味しいですよ👍 日本酒のミュージアムだけど、旭川の男山酒造みたいにインバウンドで混み合っていないし、日本酒の好きな地元の方の来訪が多くてオススメです。

Not really a museum but a little store that sells sake. It was disappointing, we were looking forward to going on a tour and learn how sake is made. There were some figurines and text displayed in the little sitting room but that’s it. They were also offering some samples but that’s it. Unless you know what you are buying, this would be the last place I’d go to. Maybe change the name to “Sake Store”

Unless you know what you are buying, this would be the last place I’d go to. Maybe change the name to “Sake Store”
