Halal Wagyu Ramen-Shinjukutei
Today, I enjoyed dining at the newly opened Halal Wagyu Ramen-Shinjukutei in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience! Opened on April 1, 2025, this restaurant is a true gem for anyone who appreciates amazing ramen, regardless of their religious and dietary preferences.
The Ramen Experience
Beef Spicy Ramen: This dish was a revelation for me. As someone who has never had Halal ramen, I was blown away by the depth of flavour. The beef was tender, and the spice level was just perfect. I can confidently give this a 10 out of 10. Everyone in the vicinity must try itâit's on a different level!
Chicken Ramen: While the soup earned a solid 7, the noodles were an impressive 8. The balance of flavours was delightful, making it a satisfying dish, though it didn't quite reach the heights of the beef version.
Chicken Karage
Now, letâs talk about the Chicken Karage. I genuinely donât have words to express how incredible it was. The unique flour coating provided a crispy exterior, while the inside was stunningly juicy and soft. I would rate this a perfect 10 out of 10. Itâs unlike any chicken Iâve ever tasted and a must-try!
Atmosphere and Service
The restaurant is spacious and clean and offers a tremendous dining area, making it a great place to enjoy your meal. The chef was exceptional, and Ms. Dinda, our server, was exceptionally friendly and down-to-earth. She provided detailed descriptions of each dish, enhancing our dining experience.
Final Thoughts
If you find yourself in Sapporo, do yourself a favour and visit Halal Wagyu Ramen-Shinjukutei. You wonât regret it! The food is truly exceptional, and I canât recommend it enough.
In conclusion, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the areaâdelicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service await you!

Read moreI was looking for halal restaurants and this place is easy to access compared to other options since they are opened from 12pm and until 21:00 (other halal options are usually served within limited time during lunch hour or closed on Monday or Tuesday or before 20:00). I really liked that they prepared a prayer room with ablution/wuduâ area, prayer mat, and prayer robe for female. There is also a toilet available for use. Once you enter the door, there is a menu placed on the left wall, in case you want to check the menu and price first ;) The dining area is on the second floor, so you have to walked up the stairs, so there is no issue if you suddenly decide not to eat there after looking at the menu since there is no one at the entrance. The location is at Nijo Market, which is also an attraction so you can have lunch or dinner after or before visiting the Nijo Market. Please check the alley along the Nijo Market to find the restaurant (I donât think it can be seen from the street, so make a turn when you find an alley to find the restaurant). Most of the offerings are quite expensive because it is wagyu â¨, but chicken paitan is an affordable option among all the menu. In terms of taste, I like the thick miso broth of the Wagyu Miso Ramen, but if I am to be honest I had better wagyu at other halal restaurants in Japan (Tokyo or Osaka) but maybe thatâs my personal taste so please give it a try! As for chicken paitan ramen, the egg in the ramen is not the normal boiled egg, but a special egg (delicious taste!). In terms of portion, itâs fulfilling especially after a long walks visiting Sapporo. Thank you for such a great halal restaurant and even with prayer room, really appreciate the restaurantâs presence in the...
Read moreMy husband and I ate here last night. I ordered the Spicy Red Soup Ramen Set it came with spicy ramen (hot) with 3 slices of Wagyu, Deep Fried Chicken, Wagyu Sushi, and Orange Juice. For me, it tasted really good but not too spicy. The Wagyu slices were super tender and soft, really tasty and savory. The noodles were thin and I love that kind of noodle.
My husband tried their recommended set Cold Ramen (no soup) with Deep Fried Chicken and Wagyu Sushi. We both think it tasted even better than the Spicy Red Soup Ramen because the flavor was stronger, more savory, and unique with chopped nuts and onions.
We loved it so much, so we ordered another Cold Ramen set đ.
Oh, and the Deep Fried Chicken was so crispy outside and juicy inside, even better when you dip it in the red sauce on the table. The Wagyu Sushi was also delicious, and the little bit of wasabi made it perfect.
The place itself is really nice, cozy, clean, and cool. They even have a prayer room. If you want to pray together, they have a bigger room with prayer clothes for women, overall so clean, comfy, and spacious.
The staff were kind and so friendly..
If youâre in Sapporo, I totally recommend this place! đ¤Šđ
NB : If youâre coming by car, I recommend parking at the Odori Park parking area (basement). For us, the parking fee at Odori Park is cheaper than other parking spots that are closer to...
