The Kaikyō Yume Tower dominates the city of Shimonoseki and is the tallest tower in western Japan. Standing 153 metres tall, it was opened in July 1996. It forms a part of the Kaikyō Messe Shimonoseki building, which houses a conference centre and corporate offices.

Awesome night view for Shimonoseki 360° in the observation room. The tower is just right beside the port. We didn't notice that for foreigners will enjoy some discount via purchase for entry. Big thanks to the friendly staff. Not so crowded as not much tourists, we can enjoy the quiet moments to relax your mind. Will recommend to others for this...

They no longer offer a discount for foreign tourists so no need to show em your passport :/. The view here is great tho and the ticket is cheap so if you're in the area, stop by. There's a couple levels to the observation deck but there's not really anyone working them, at least when I went, so you can't...

There's a couple levels to the observation deck but there's not really anyone working them, at least when I went, so you can't do much here.
