This was my first time visiting the museum even though I lived in Tokamachi for 5 years. I was always worried that there wouldn't be enough English available to really understand, but it was actually great! They provided me with an English pamphlet and the signs often had some English available too.

All the permanent exhibits are on the ground floor under 3 categories, namely cloth, snow and pottery. There are pottery national treasures in the exhibits, the flame pots. Exhibition is very well done and interactive with very well made miniatures.
