We had a really upsetting experience with a Tokyo Monorail staff member at Haneda Airport (Domestic Terminal) on October 6 around 8:35 PM. My partner and I accidentally went through the wrong gate and tried to exit back through it, not realizing we couldn’t do that. The staff member who should have been at the help desk wasn’t there — he was on his phone, hidden away from the counter. When he eventually came out, he immediately started yelling at us repeatedly, speaking in a very rude and aggressive way. Even though we kept apologising and trying to explain that we didn’t know, he refused to listen or answer any questions. He then snatched my partner’s iPhone (with her IC card) out of her hand and slammed it down on his workstation. It was completely unnecessary and intimidating. We were shocked and very uncomfortable. Regarding transfers between Shinagawa and Hamamatsucho, Hamamatsucho has a down escalator so she can get to the platform comfortably, but Shinagawa does not have a down escalator and there are often long lines...
