Inui-Dori Street is a beautiful street located inside the Imperial Palace and is only open to the public during limited times. I visited in late March during Sakura Blossom season and was lucky to be able to enter this area. When passing through this street, you will see buildings such as the Imperial Household Agency and Hasuike Sansyujyo. The street is lined with beautiful sakura trees on both sides. However, expect there will be lots of visitors as it is a rare occasion. During my visit, the entrance will close at 15:30. To go in, do not enter through the imperial palace entrances that are opened all year-round, but go to sakashita-mon gate, and there you will end up in inui-dori street. If you already are inside the gardens either by will or because you thought it was easier to go to Inui-dori from there, you have to exit through one of the gates closest to you, and go straight to sakashita-mon entrance. This entrance is very close to Nijubashimae station, so let's take that as a reference. After walking through stunning Inui-dori, you will be out through Inui-mon gate.
