According to the old reviews this must have been the fourth time. Seems kind of familiar and I didn't notice any changes. Maybe the restroom designed to look like the old garage is new? Early reviews below. About the third time I've gone there for an alumni hanami gathering involving American universities. Pretty nice park and the location is far enough away from the stations that it doesn't attract too large of a crowd. There's an impressive old mansion of the Maeda family right next door. The 4-star rating is basically a default, with no reason to go either way. However, mostly I realized how much I prefer to talk to old friends over meeting new people. Though I did talk to a few and even enjoy it, most of my time was focused on the old timers.

Cool little park that has an interesting history, it’s really the Estate of Marquis Maeda Toshinari, the descendant of the lpowerful Kaga Clan Samurai family which ruled the Kanazawa area before it was even called Tokyo from my understanding. It’s worth going through, it’s an elegant feeling place. As the sun starts to set and hardly anyone remains, the grounds get an eerie feeling to them with just some birds left making some pretty odd sounds that I haven’t really heard anywhere else - odd to me anyway as it sounded like.. well, little bird screams is the best way I can describe it 😭

Sadly, I went on a Tuesday, so the European Style house was closed. But still, I was able to see the Japanese Style House and it was very nice. Also, it had snowed the day before so the view of the garden and the park itself was beautiful. Nice activity to walk around and enjoy quieter places in the Tokyo area.

This park is pretty magical. The layout of the Park's main grass section is a large circle, surrounded by cherry blossom trees. It's simply amazing in the spring time. Tranquil and serene in the cooler months. You may get eaten by mosquitoes in the summer however. The benches under the magestic Sakura trees easilly make this one of my favorite outdoor sanctuaries in the...
