A cafe that uses very soft whole wheat bread for their sandwhiches 🍞
Since I came during the weekday at an odd hour there was hardly any people in the store. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwhich, garlic toast, and an iced latte. Among all my orders, I was sooo excited to try the garlic bread 🥺 I noticed cafes and even places that serve pasta don't really have garlic bread on the menu so I was super happy to see it being offered at Bondi 🙏
The ham and cheese sandwhich was a lot better than I expected! Usually, I feel like sandwhiches in Tokyo are just alright but since Bondi uses wholewheat bread with butter spread on it the taste was really elevated 🤩 It was also satisfying to eat since it was crispy yet soft at the same time (hope that makes sense). The garlic bread was definitely my favorite though! In addition to the wonderful bread the garlic also tasted really nice 🙏 You may be wondering how on earth anyone could mess up garlic bread but as a garlic enthusiast let me tell you not all garlic bread is the same! So I'm glad Bondi's garlic bread falls in the delicious category 😋 The iced latte was alright, I was happy that it was more on the bitter side since that's how I like my coffee. You also get to choose which beans you want for your coffee and they have a helpful guide in English on the counter.
The atmosphere in the cafe was really chill. I love how they have big and open windows at the side so natural light can flow in 😊 Wooden interiors look the best with natural light shining on them so I felt very relaxed inside 🧘♀️ The staff were also very nice and...

The price however was slightly ridiculous, almost 2000 yen for an açai is definitely far too much, an açai bowl can never be worth that amount if I’m honest. The sandwiches were a much fairer price but deffo still on the expensive side
I think they could’ve gotten away with the price had it felt like a more expensive experience, like a lot of the other reviews, my main issue with the place is the single use plastic containers and cutlery for eat in customers. It makes the place feel incredibly cheap which it is not.
It’s a shame because the food is good and the place has a lot of potential. I love the menu and the vibe of the place is lovely but I just don’t understand why they’ve ignored all the reviews mentioning that you can’t serve eat in customers out of single use...
Read moreI had trouble sleeping due to jet lag and not many places are open early in Japan so I decided to try out this place near my Airbnb.
To my surprise they had a selection of vegan sandwiches. So I tried the avocado chili and it was absolutely amazing. The portion size was rather large too.
I also had the oat milk latte which was okay. Oat milk isn't my favorite so I'm a little biased but it wasn't bad at all.
The place had a chill vibe and the atmosphere was really cute, with a lot of wood-based seats and tables. It gave everything a bit of an organic feel. There was also a large open window where you could people watch and...
