What a foreigners friendly place to settle your administratives! For those who are driving here, they have outdoor parking space. Rates are cheap and you can get a free ticket if you show your tickets to the respective service counters that you are there for. Easy and clearly understood signs in both Japanese and English. Staff speaks English, and staff who do not speak English try their best effort to help and are all very patient and welcoming. Efficient service and they make it really stress free for us. Waiting time was really short for us, we were done in just twenty minutes.

子供の頃から40年以上、親しみ慣れた区役所です。 良くも悪くも重厚感があり緑豊かな建物です。 区役所自体はとても環境が良く、スタッフさんも対応が良いので星5つ★★★★★です。 【車での来庁　車椅子の方は注意】 昨日2021-09-13母の用事で来庁しましたが、改築工事の為今までの駐車場が使えない。 今までの駐車場を左手に見て次を左折、そして左折、左折(庁舎をぐるっと左回りにまわる感じ)の上り坂の途中に駐車場がありました。 立体駐車場と車椅子駐車場は平面です。 が！！しかーし！地下一階になることから薄暗い階段を登らねばならない。←エレベータ見当たらず。尋ねる方も見当たらない。 そして、母は車椅子。 どーすんだこれ。 健常者は入り口から階段ですが、車椅子の方は右手の雑用置き場の様な病院の霊安室の廊下のような暗いところを長々と通らなければなりません。 そして…な、なんじゃこりゃー！昇降式車椅子の台が階段に設置してあります。 ブザーでお知らせくださいと書いてあるものの、呼ぶが誰も来ない。呼び続けるが誰も来ない。 見かねた工事作業の、区の職員では無いお兄様達が試行錯誤で機械を動かし誘導してくれました。 その間、工事作業は中断。 行きがあれば、帰りもここを通ります。 工事の方には心苦しく申し訳なかったです。 やっとエレベーターで地上へ出ると、いつもの住民票などの課とは別の建物へ。 私は行き慣れているので分かりますが、不慣れならすぐに職員を見つけ聞いたほうが賢明です。 車椅子、歩行可能でも歩くのが困難な方は、この駐車場はヤバイ。 一刻も早く対策を！ 追伸、車椅子の貸出も見渡す限りありません。 付き添いの元気な方が階段で地上へ行き、借りて階段を降りる感じになると思われます。 2023.9来庁【車で来庁】 まだ改修工事中ということで、前回の経験を活かし車椅子の母は留守番。 委任状を持ち単独で行ってきました。 前回同様、駐車場は坂道途中の場所。 大きめの番号が書いてあるカードを渡され、その番号の区画へ停めます。 案内のオジサマが数人、丁寧に誘導してくれます。 前回と異なる点は駐車場が立体ではなくなり平面になったこと。 車を停めると駐車券を渡され、その駐車券を各課で用事を済ませると、色が違うものと交換してくれるシステムのようです。 地下1階からエレベーター又は階段で1階へ上がると、住民課などの主要の課があります。 かなりの大移動で其々の課の場所が変わり、迷いますが皆さん親切に教えてくれるので心強いです。 今回も職員さんスタッフさんの対応は★★★★★です。 2024.6車にて来庁 母の同区内移転届けを委任状持参で行ってきました。 前もって母本人が同行出来ない旨を問い合わせ、準備万端で訪れました。 委任状と転居届は本人の名前のみ本人署名。←前もってフォーマットをダウンロードし記入させました。 その他は私（委任者）の記入で可。 現地で書き方等テキパキ詳しく教えて頂きました。 ウォーターサーバーもあり、ひっきりなしに皆さんがマイボトルに水を汲んでいました。 今回もスタッフさん皆様の対応が素晴らしく、感心しました。★★★★★です。 世田谷区役所でスタッフに対して不快な思い（待ち時間が長いとかはある）をした事は今までほぼありません。 ※ただ…13時頃にトイレを使おうとした時に狭いトイレ内が歯磨きの方でごった返しており、びっくりしました（笑）

Needed a Covid Passport very good service polite and attentive but it took about 2.5 hours and there are zero facilities around one 7-11 and a Hotto Motto. At least it looks like are getting rid of those awful concrete Soviet style buildings

This is gonna be a mini guide for foreigners who come here to register their address.

  1. Try to arrive as early as possible

  2. Go to the Information desk on the first floor and friendly staff will guide you to where and how fill out the form

  3. After filling out the form return to the info desk and you will be guided to the processing window

  4. Answer any questions, double check the information and then go and chill out at the B section and await your number

  5. Once your number is called, if you filled out everything correctly, you will receive your Residence card with an updated address, as well as your temporary NHI Health card

  6. You might also be asked to go to the second floor to fill out income forms in regards to your NHI. It should take less than 10 minutes

Overall the whole process takes about 90 minutes.

Other than that the office was lively and personnel was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Firstly, I went in and give me the wrong information. Then was told to go set in counter B while my application was processed to pay but it was actually in counter A. And after checking with them after waiting for 30mins they told me my number is not out yet even though it was. After more than an hour and half of waiting someone comes and calls me telling me they were waiting for me. For more than 1hour. All in all bad and incompetent way of work. That made me not go to my next appointment. And yeah my number card takes 1~2 months to reprint if you lose it so good luck with any bank application...
