Highlights included the original phoenix statues that once adorned the Phoenix Hall rooftop, as well as intricately carved wooden Bodhisattvas depicted riding on clouds, each one full of character and detail. A scaled architectural model of the Phoenix Hall helped visualize its design and construction techniques.
The use of lighting and display cases helped draw attention to the craftsmanship of each piece, and temperature-controlled environments ensured preservation without compromising visitor comfort. Photography was not allowed inside, which encouraged quiet observation and appreciation.
