I enjoyed a matcha set (a cup of ice tea and two sweets) and a matcha flavored ice cream. The place is self serviced, so you need to wait for your order near the register and take them with you whether to the first or the second floor, the second floor is recommended for the views.

The owner is very energetic and friendly, he would use a translator to speak with you if you can’t speak Japanese and want to talk with him.

I visited here at the end (or just past the end) of the Sakura season, if you come here on Sakura season or 紅葉 season the experience might be great!

Let’s not forget for those want to try matcha making, it appears to be offering lessons in Japanese, and there’s a tiny exhibition on matcha making on the second floor, please check it...

This store was extremely rude to me. The store clerk screamed at me when entering and demanded that I IMMEDIATELY throw away a drink from Nakamura. Then, once I did throw it away, he screamed at me that I threw out the drink in the incorrect trash receptacle and told me that I should read the sign (which was entirely and ONLY) in Japanese. He proceeded to run over to the trash dramatically as if an emergency were occurring and continued to scream that it was in the wrong bin. He dug through the garbage to find the drink and retrieve it. His behavior was outrageous and...

If i could give it 100 stars, i would. We came here to buy matcha and tea back home, but we didn't know what to take. The owner, who is very patient and friendly, helped us to choose the best choice for us, it took some time because the languege barrier, but it didn't bother him or us. We very enjoyed this very authentic and friendly communication.

If you want an original matcha powder with the best service, this...

Thia is located in Uji, the source of Japanese tea and the place where Uji tea culture has been handed down from generation to generation. Across the scenic Asagiri Bridge and Nakanoshima Island in the clear waters of the Uji River, there are two stores: the Ujicha Kobo on the right bank, and the Ujicha Tei on the left bank.
