This is a dark ride/thrill ride hybrid using the same ride system as the Anaheim Indiana Jones ride, or Animal Kingdom's "Dinosaur". You're in a kind of tracked slot car, themed as a jeep, which also incorporates a simulator motion bed so it can tilt and shake around to simulate rough terrain as it moves along.
In this case, you're traveling through the mentioned Temple of the Crystal Skull, in which apparently some kind of scary curse has been awakened--there are angry-looking skulls and skeletons everywhere! The jeep seems to move surprisingly quickly as it swerves and bumps around. There are near misses and apparent obstacles aplenty. The spooky scenery is top-notch. Every so often you meet an animatronic of Indiana Jones himself, who has gotten caught in another trap but urges you ahead through the course. I'm not so sure exactly what the story is because the dialogue is all in Japanese, but this was not a big problem for me; angry skeletons are in the end kind of self-explanatory.
Given that this is an Indiana Jones story set in a mysterious temple, you can probably guess what the big set-piece peril effect at the climax is. There's a small drop there, but for the drop-averse it is not too bad (my wife, who does not do thrill rides with big drops, loved the...

When it was time for us to redeem the passes, we came back. Like all other Disney rides, it did help save us a significant amount of time. However, don’t think that it’ll put you at the very front like some other rides! I think when comparing it to the Indiana Jones ride in California, it takes you about 60% past the standard line but you do still have to wait for a short time before you get to go on the ride.
The ride itself is pretty great. It’s definitely nothing like the ones in America but is certainly more fun than the quick roller coaster rendition of the one in Disney Paris. If you have loose articles of clothing like hats or sunglasses, I would really recommend putting it in the safety bag in front of your seat unless you wanna lose them in the air.
This is definitely a ride you’ll want to ride on...
Read moreThe decorations are quite beautiful, especially after dark. This is one of those attractions you might want to save for last and wait in line rather than using an express pass. As you move through the queue, there’s plenty to see and enjoy, but be prepared for a wait of around 2 hours.
The attraction itself is pretty interesting, and I highly recommend it for fans of the movie.
However, there’s a big downside—if you’re sitting in the very front on the right side, the turns can feel so intense that it seems like you’re about to be thrown out of the seat. It feels quite unsafe, and you end up spending half the ride worrying about not...
