Very confusing as a foreigner. You need to first buy a ticket from the tourist information centre. And then once you have the ticket you need to find a local shopowner (indicated on the ticket) to unlock the onsen for you. DO NOT use the shoe locker to the left of the men’s entrance, I could not unlock it as I had to get a very kind local to unlock it for me as it seemed to be broken. You can place your shoes inside the onsen and there are also lockers that do work inside. Honestly, I’m not sure it is worth the hassle. Save your money for...

Must do, especially if you aren't staying in one of the ryokans that gives you access to the nine onsens, in which case this is the only one you'll have access to. It was my first experience of an ultra authentic onsen - no washing stations, no showers, just the bath, and no soaps allowed. It also has a natural steam room - which comes with a natural steam smell too :-)

Make sure you know the etiquette before you...

have a nice trip😸

We stayed at Wakagiya in Shibu Onsen the day before.

I stopped by Oyu on the way back from my morning walk.

This outdoor bath has two bathtubs and a steam bath There is.

At first, I got sweat in the steam bath for about 5 minutes

When it comes out enough, on the entrance side I entered only the bathtub.

The water temperature is quite hot. 🥵

First take a steam bath and take your body The correct answer was to get used to it.

This hot spring seems to be popular, except for me

About 7 people take a bath regardless of early morning Was being done. 😸

If it's cool outside after bathing

Foreign younger brother in Oyu I will enter.

I wore a yukata so I came to Shibu Onsen It's a customer. 😸

If you are traveling from a foreign country Thank you very much for your hard work.

Shibu Onsen with abundant efficacy Please enjoy.

have a nice trip...
