Jill's Table — Attraction in Ontario

I went to the Italian dessert cooking class and was quite unimpressed with the experience. I felt the instructor was rushed and skipped/skimmed over steps. I was left looking at the recipe for clarification. I had to ask questions several times. I could have looked these recipes up online and had the same educational experience. The class was not engaging at all- we sat in our chairs and watched her rush through three desserts with minimal instructions. You couldn’t see at all what she was doing even with the screen. The cannoli she served us was burned to a crisp. We were also offered a soup to start which was bland and several people at my table did not finish it. My friends spoon was dirty and they forgot her wine order totally. I would not recommend this class for the 130$ price tag- plus the additional 8 dollars for my one glass of wine-I would have enjoyed going out for a nice dinner for they...

I have two Happy Places! I just returned from the Festival of the Sound in Parry Sound where I experienced great music for 18 days! And now I am getting excited about being back home and back to my second Happy Place, Jill’s Table, where I spoil myself in celebration for any occasion in my life to celebrate, by treating myself to another JILL’s Table Cooking Class! For years before, during and after Covid, the classes I have taken are treasured experiences. I still have and often use, many of the Cook Friendly recipes! I brought in a couple of Riedel glasses to get matched, as we needed additional glasses of these two types to host our Thanksgiving dinner. Jill and her associates were incredibly helpful, and managed to get one of the two Riedel glass varieties I brought matched with their inventory. I ended up buying a fresh set for the other Riedel glass that they did not have-- presumably no longer in circulation. I was also able to find some obscure bitters I'd been looking for.
