The place is more or less like a Chinese food court with several small restaurants specializing in different Chinese dishes. It also has a Chinese Clinic, a hotel for accommodation and 2 Chinese supermarkets and alcohol store. Dominated by Chinese folk that patronize the place.
THE GOOD Authentic Chinese food cooked by Chinese; large variety of Chinese foods; friendly Kenyan servers/stewards; supermarkets stocked with a variety of Chinese spices, noodles, drinks, different types of rice and grains, etc; freshly made noodles and dumplings at Silk Noodles restaurant; nice food sauces; friendly staff in general; meals are price friendly.
THE BAD Chinese smoking everywhere including inside and outside restaurants just like they do in China; only accept payments in cash or mobile cash/MPESA; cleanliness of sinks and general area not of very high standard; supermarkets don't display prices of items on shelves; parking very squeezed and not enough; restaurant tables can look a bit unpleasant with the Chinese habits of dropping bones and other food leftovers all over the table when eating.
Overall it's probably the best place in Nairobi to experience a variety of authentic Chinese cuisine as you would find it with street...

The place has goods and food stores, a supermarket and several cooked food outlets ran by the native Chinese. A lot of Chinese is spoken here plus fellow Africans are speaking the language too. We shared this amongst three of us. The Host was interested in us sampling the Chinese foods. The great breakfast for three costed about kshs. 2000. 00. Hygiene aspect not to standards. Parking is also squeezed. The entire place was too busy including the supermarket before 9am. It was a...

China town itself has many many restaurants and supermarkets so you better know which stall you're going to beforehand. You can get decision fatigue because of the overwhelming choices. Chongqing has a limited menu, displayed on the wall and the sitting space is also small. I had pork rib noodles and my friends had beef noodles. The portions are huge and the soup is very tasty. They also give chili oil which you can use to spice up your bowl. We also had beef dumplings...
