Read moreI have always enjoyed their mombasa branches. Nice to finally see them in Nairobi. I took out a star for location. They are opposite yaya centre in the new brick looking building. I think it is called zarafa towers. They are right at the entrance. If you are not driving, it can be quite a hassle to get to Kilimani because it requires you to take two or even more vehicles depending on where you are. This makes the location not convenient. I took out another star for the upstairs sitting area. The sort of open verandah area is too hot during the day because there is no form of covering and the inside feels a bit cramped. Downstairs is much better especially along the balcony. What I like about crave is that you can order a few dishes and share because the portions allow for it. The sandwiches are huge though they don't come with a side like most places. Their waffles are also a good size for sharing. Their teas especially the cold ones are not overly sweet and the service is often good.
We ordered the chicken and pesto sandwich. We also got the grilled fish that came with fries. They always give you some dippings. We also had a double cappuccino and their dawa which was recommended by the lady who served us. She really gave us some good service. The dawa is very well balanced. You can even skip the honey and have it just as and still enjoy it. The size is quite little for KES 400 in my opinion.
I took out a star because they did not have none dairy options. Overall the meal was good and we did enjoy the space and service. A meal for two will probably be around KES 4000 or more if each person has a main course and a drink.
This place is definitely ideal for a date, a coffee meet up or even a meeting depending on the time of day you go.
As for parking, I am not sure but you can always park in yaya centre and...
