Bamburi Forest Trails — Attraction in Shanzu ward

Pssssst 🤫… The Forest Trails at Haller Park Bamburi cost Kshs 300 if you have your own bike! I thought you should know. Things to do in Mombasa under Kshs 500! 🌲

The ride is enjoyable and just as adrenaline-packed. We darted between trees, ducked below brambles and water puddles, bounced over roots and raced down spongey tracks with majestic green canopies.

During the entire ride we came across an oryx in the woods near the indigenous forest stretch right around the air space facility! Every now and then I’d stop and let my boys go ahead, so I could have a moment of peace to look up at the forest canopy; take some images with my phone and breathe it all in.

Beautiful nature, lots of different animals to see, almost no people. Bring water and maybe food. Please note, that paying your entrance fee is only uncomplicated with MPESA (as foreigners we were not able to get an account). When you pay cash nobody has change and you need to pay a little extra fee - inconvenient! I would also avoid the bikes since they are in bad shape and we had nothing but problems with them. We payed 350 KSH per hour per bike and 800 KSH entrance fee per person. Prices...
