Went for a walk with the Mombasa walk movement. The place is serene, cool and covered with nature which is the perfect place for doing walks and cycling.
The pavilion is comprised of both indigenous and exotic trees with natural footpaths dotting the grounds.
As one takes the walks within the forest, one cannot help but admire the way the forest has been preserved.
One reservation though is that the sign posts have not been attended to for a while and by the look of things walkers and bikers not conversant with the various routes may get lost within the forest.
Otherwise I give a strong thumbs up to the Bamburi Cement factory for taking care of such a magnificent place. Kudos...
Read moreA nice place to walk, go jogging, cycling, hanging out with friends, having a picnic or just to relax. There are well marked trails to follow and you can rent a bicycle if you want to cycle. They also have annual packages for singles, couples and families. If you want to use the park frequently, the packages are the way to go. You get access to the park as often as you wish. Theres forest trail, you can cycle by carrying your own or hiring one for ksh 350 for one hour. There is also archery. There are so many mosquitos. Dress appropriately so you have a good time.
