Olympic Voodoo Casino — Attraction in Riga

There are many casinos in Riga Lativia and most of them are nothing to write home about. Casino voodo olypic casino tops the worst casino list for the following reasons;

1. The Service. Oh, the service. If you can even call the employees there servers! I don't know if it is the most incompetent HR department on the planet or because the workers are paid starvation wages but they are the most miserable team I ever saw in any casino (I visited more than a dozen casinos in riga so I have seen my fair share but this team is really on a league of misery all of its own).
2. The odds. The rule of thumb is that when it comes to slots the casino wins two out of three times but the jackpots won bring the odds nearer to 55% to the Casino's advantage. In Casino olympic however the jackpots seem to only exist in theory which is why you won't find any lativians playing slots there. They have huge screens that advertise Jackpot' with huge amounts in addition to four smaller jackpots that are themselves very impressive except that... they never materialize! I suppose the ploy is to make players in Riga think that the jackpot they were hoping to win fell onto the lap of a fellow in Tbilisi and vice versa (clever indeed!). The slot machines seem to be programmed in a way that you lose 90% of the time. On the 10% of the time you 'win' this is at most 10%-15% more than the amount you initially inserted into the slot machine. I played there a dozen times and this was the case every single time. After speaking to local players in other casinos my theory was confirmed because the locals keep away from Casino olympic Riga as if it was the plague.
3. The food and beverages. If you think that being a five star hotel you will get delicious food think again. The food is reminiscent of a soup kitchen for the homeless in riga The rice and potato dishes are very oily, the soups very thin and tasteless, the deserts sickly sweet and if you need water to get this down your throat you better ask for water ten minutes before you start eating or get a lari or two lari coin ready and (equally important) visible for the girls and 'waitresses' (though they don't wait on anybody because they are only busy frowning at everyone) to hand you a glass of water...
4. As you exit the casino the girl at the desk will usually ask to see your casino membership card. I have absolutely no idea what purpose this time wasting practice is supposed to have because they always check your card when you enter so why would they want to see it on departure?!
5. The Electronic Roulette Table. Yes, a technical error can and does occur once or twice a day and that usually invalidates a bet but when this happens every twenty or thirty minutes you can not but help to form your own theory as to why this is (for those in need of a hint scroll up to the section on the 'olympic voodo Jackpot'...
6. The Air Conditioning System. The Casino is on the Riga which means it is open to the huge lobby and first floor of the hotel so cooling is lacking due to the poor planning. BOTTOM LINE: Go there if you want a more time consuming and painful way to part with your money then to throw it into the sea or flush it down a toilet. Especially the guy from casino mannag called osacars shows his attitude very shamefully...do care for the people who...

Really bad attitude from security staff (racism)

I use to visit here almost everyday last day i had really bad experience from your security staff, i just took selfie of mine I wasn’t aware of that im not allowed to take photo here , but because of simple selfie your security staff behaved to me very badly and rude way he send me out from the casino because of this simple reason , even he didn’t allow me to talk to to the manager he push me from the casino to outside , in the middle of the conversation he said that he is racist. At that point i understood that why he is behaving like this , please place educated staff there this kind of person really shame of casino, not only casino your country as well, we use to spend thousands of euros but if this is the attitude to your customers its really shameful,

Please educate your staff or fire him this kind of guy not deserve to work there , because of this incident me and our friends stopped visiting your casino,

So, long story short. 20 euros in cash to charge a phone, it's quite pricey. If you'd like to pay by card, you should give your id and wait for a long process of registration and then 20 euros will be charged from your card. Their stupidity might be their own saving grace, but it's not. Gambling is a cruel mistress. I put 50 lines by mistake and it cost me 5 euros, and I repeat, I did it by mistake. I've asked the manager, if I could play some more, because it was my first time and I have no idea what buttons I pushed, but Dinara (by the way she was really severe and she told me she'd help me another day, because she doesn't have authority and the only thing she could offer was a cocktail) declined my request. That's it folks, the next story will be about Radisson Blue on Brivibas street, but it's another story. I highly don't recommend this place, but if you are up to pay 20 euros deposit for a phone charger or loose 10 euros by mistake, don't count on...
