Good park, with a lot of sitting places and some nice well lawn grass. There is a children playground and a rentable rc/child driven cars. It is possible to make few jumps (10min) on the trampoline. The park is the hub for busses (circle stop Esplanade, Art museum stop) are both very involved in the city public transport network. It is possible to get anywhere from here. There are multiple fountains and the art museum of Latvia here (recently renovated => must be visited). The art academy is also here, but, it is closed for public visiting. The monument of one famous Latvian activist is placed here. Go find out who he is exactly ;) Park is well patrolled, due its location. It is a nice place to start your trip in Riga. Dispatch on this location and any place down in Riga will be in the hand reach. However, this park is rarely chosen as the attraction spot, nor the chill zone due lack of attractions ment for adult audience. * Pictures below are taken on one of the common festivals down here (Burger-fest 2019)

This central square in the city of Riga is especially beautiful during winter when it hosts the "Trušu Karaliste" (Kingdom of Rabbits). It's a closed structure where many rabbits thrive, fed by visitors that can buy in the square some veggies (like carrots) for them while drinking a hot beverage and checking on handmade products. Bunnies seem to enjoy this area that has lots of hay, lights and places where to make dens. The missing star is due to the fact that animals are still not 100% taken care: what happens when it rains or snow in the cold Latvian winters with no roof? Maybe with this improvement and more politeness by visitors (respect the animals! They are not toys!) it would be a good way to stimulate passengers to stimulate helping and respecting these wonderful and underestimated animals.

The expansive park known as the Esplanade (Latvian: Esplanāde) is located in the eastern core of Riga, the capital of Latvia.Up until 1812, the area served as a parade field for the tsarist soldiers based in Riga. During the Middle Ages, this area was a wilderness with sand dunes crisscrossing it, situated outside the city's defences. The site was purchased by the municipal government and landscaped as part of their hunt for an appropriate exhibition location for Riga's 700th anniversary celebrations. Up to World War I, the eastern suburbs' growth framed the city's surrounding territory, which was partially developed for public structures. This is the location of the Nativity of Christ Cathedral in Riga, the State Art Museum, and the Latvian Academy of Arts.

Эспланада- один из красивейших парков Риги, хорошо известный россиянам, как «лондонский парк», в котором Ватсон и Стэмфорд прогуливались в первой серии «Приключений Шерлока Холмса и Доктора Ватсона». А парк здесь был создан только лишь в 20 веке, в давние же времена на месте нынешней Эспланады и Верманского парка простиралась огромное песчаное поле и дюна Кубес– свидетели тех далёких времён, когда море ещё не отступило. Гуляя по прекрасным каштановым и липовым аллеям Эспланады, любуясь газонами и розариями, обязательно обратите внимание на три монументальных здания- Рижский православный Кафедральный собор, Академию Художеств Латвии (бывшее Коммерческое училище) и Национальный Художественный музей. Моя любовь- Академия художеств, строгие неоготические формы которой прекрасны, но очень разнятся в зависимости от того, с какой стороны вы смотрите на неё. Конечно, не пройдёте вы и мимо впечатляющего размерами памятника известнейшему латышскому поэту Яну Райнису и герою войны 1812 года, российскому полководцу, рождённому в Риге, Михаилу Барклаю де Толли. Правда памятник Барклаю де Толли- это всего лишь копия утонувшего вместе с кораблем во время эвакуации в ходе Первой Мировой войны оригинала работы Вандшнейдера. С детства помню лишь постамент этого памятника с посвящением Барклаю де Толли, что в детской памяти не вызывало никаких противоречий- было полное убеждение, что этот постамент и есть весь памятник... А ещё в парке функционируют два прекрасных старых фонтана, много кафешек, разнообразных детских площадок и аттракционов, а в прошлое Рождество даже большое королевство кроликов к огромной радости детишек появилось! И ещё- перед национальными праздниками в парке разворачиваются базарчики с аутентичными товарами. Так что- рекомендую всем- есть где погулять, есть на что посмотреть! Маленький, но неприятный минус,- гуляя в парке смотрите под ноги, не споткнитесь,- плитка в парке явно не обновлялась еще с советских времён...

It’s a beautiful and relaxing park, with century old trees, and even though this park is flat and not on a hillside, it has got some spectacular sunset, but how? The sunrays are reflected on the huge church dome on top, which is located in this park and it’s just so beautiful. All sorts of events and festivals are hosted here, be it ice cream festival, burger festival or songs and dance festival, they are organised here on the weekends in summer. Glad to see many international travelers here.

If this is the rabbit "cage", then definitely check it out. There are about 40 bunnies running around, throw archways, along walls, nibbling at the carrots people are feeding them and have a big space to chase each other about. We were told that after the festive period they are then released back to the wild, with all their other bunny mates. It's cute and cool, if your girl is into bunnies.
