Read moreThis museum is currently closed to the public the Google listing saying it is open is incorrect. They said after the explosion it has not reopened. The building and gardens from the outside are really impressive, and the gift boutique shop is cute. The staff could not tell us when the museum would reopen. Read moreWe stumbled on to this by chance-for some reason it wasn't mentioned in any of the guide books or blogs and it really should be! Free entry includes a guided tour of an enormous collection of well preserved mosaics from 2-6AD set in a gorgeous building that used to be a family home. The mosaics are on 3 floors and there is a lift. Allow at least half an hour and a bit extra if the guide is doing a tour already as you will have to wait. Well worth a visit!
