This trendy new restaurant have been getting alot of fuss lately, so I decided to try it out for myself. The atmosphere is absolutely charming - the renovation is beautiful, with a modern and vibrant feel that still honors Lebanese heritage/stories. The food was outstanding - we ordered the chicken schnitzel and the Dada's Warak Enab, and both were bursting with flavor. The schnitzel came was light and super crispy, and the Warak Enab had a perfect balance of sour and savory from all fatty lamb meat. We also have to mention their delicious housemade ketchup which added a great flavor to the Schnitzel! Honestly, 10/10 doesn't even do it justice! The service was friendly, especially our waiter Bilal who was attentive and kind. While there's a bit of room for improvement in service overall, it's understandable since they're only two months old. I expect the service to catch up to the amazing food soon. Our dessert was a deconstructed Strawberry mascarpone, it had fresh strawberries, fresh mascarpone with a kind of buttery crunchy cookie crumble and caramelized Almond base and that touch of green Tarragon was simply perfect for all the flavors to marry harmoniously!
For drinks, I ordered the Big Thyme, but it wasn't on the new menu( we kinda felt there was a problem going on) However, the owner came over to explain and even though it wasn't available, they still made it for me! It was fantastic, and I'm glad they went the extra mile. The bloody mary was perfect too, with just the right amount of spice and alcohol. The bartender even came by to see if we liked our drinks!. All in all, If you're looking for a place with a fun, modern take on Lebanese and international favorites, this spot is a must-visit! P.S.( I am still dreaming about that mouth-watering...
Read moreWe were a group of seven and eager to try a wide range of dishes from the menu. We ordered several salads, a variety of sandwiches, smashed burgers, spinach pasta, aubergine schnitzel, and more.
The atmosphere is undoubtedly one of the highlights — the space is cosy, authentic, and full of charm. The service was attentive and our food arrived promptly, which added to the pleasant start.
Among the dishes, the salads stood out. The tomato salad, topped with tomato ice cream, was both original and delicious. The potatoes were also well done and enjoyable.
However, the rest of the meal fell short. My spinach pasta was overly acidic and undercooked, more than just "al dente", and lacked the right balance of flavors and tastes, especially salt and umami. The aubergine schnitzel was unfortunately not edible; the combination of flavors just didn’t work. As for the smashed burgers, they were underwhelming and forgettable.
Overall, the food experience was disappointing, though the potential is definitely there. With a few adjustments in the kitchen, things could improve significantly. One last note: the wine pours were a bit on the...
Read moreWe went to Un Peu Fou for a date night. The restaurant is well-located with a pleasant ambiance—not too fancy, but also not too casual. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food is original, with each dish offering a unique twist—tasty and appealing without being overly unconventional. We started with the tomato salad, which was juicy and flavorful, and the crispy mushrooms, which we really enjoyed as an entrée. For the main course, I had the burger. It was delicious, with a fluffy and crispy texture, offering a different experience from the typical juicy, compact burger. The chicken schnitzel was also tasty, nicely balanced with a side green salad. Personally, I would have preferred a sauce on the side with the schnitzel.Portion sizes were generous—larger than they appear in the pictures—so we were extremely full by the end of the meal and couldn’t order dessert. Overall, the food is tasty, caters to various palates, and most importantly, is original. I highly recommend you try this restaurant; it’s an experience beyond...
