Kalvariju Market — Attraction in Vilnius

All in one if you look fresh greens ,vegetables , fruits , veal , sheep meat , poultry,chicken and fish . Fresh ,fresh,fresh . Strongly recommend " kepscukai vištiena " , it is roll grilling roasted chicken , whole is 8.90 and half is good enough between 4 and 5 euro . Best roasted chicken in the city .All local producers supplies are serving fresh , for example you can only find sheep meat , veal meat in Kalvarių Turgus with these normal market prices .You can request to cut or minced meat ,as well . Very good fresh & frozen fish varieties , caviars is very good quality and economic level prices . There are Polish shops sells very good quality milk , salami ,sausage , pirogi varieties . You can find delicious Lithuanian local meat manufacturer's salami ,sausage and cold meat varieties , fermented pickles and " turşu "as well , Lithuanian ,Azerbaijani and Korean varieties must try . As I told all in one with good prices , textiles , shoes and telephone accessories as well . Fresh house flowers and plants varieties , you can find , also. Health products ,especially muscle pain creams and remedies , strongly recommended , you cannot find these varieties and natural remedies everywhere . Jeans ,Kadife, pants , shirts , t shirts , hats for seasons , shoes , underwears , electronic ,electric ,repair and hand tools ... Half day activity ,open weather ,fresh environment , good prices . Second time in Vilnius and had some time to come and check out this market which is just outside the city centre.

There's a great street food stall here Pilni Zandai which is worth the trip alone - see my other review - but I'd come here if you wanted to buy good for cooking or look for some stuff at the market - there's clothes and all sorts of ephemera.

The main stay are amazing potatoes and carrots and squashes.

Closer in you can see some amazing dried berries and fruits, they also specialise in slicing fruits that are for drying.

Here there is an amazing honey stand too. Check that for sure.

There is a fish hall, a smoke Hall and a mest hall.

The smoke and meat halls were the most impressive. Some excellent smoothie stalls and some great fermented product stalls.

People were really friendly and loved the service.

This is more of a real market than the main one in town.

This is as close as you will get to experience "the real Lithuania" from the city center. The gritty, unapologetic, raw Lithuania that still exists outside of Vilnius. Come here in the morning for the full experience. You will remember it more than that leisurely stroll across the streets of the old town. Bring cash and buy some "desra" in the meat section, avoid it if you are a vegan though. The smell might make you gag. Also, you can´t miss the street parallel to the market (turgaus street). Drinking here is acceptable at all times, nobody will give you a weird look if you crack open a beer at 10 am on a Monday.
