This is my second time visiting this new space for brunch. I saw many ad videos and recommendations, so my friend and I decided to try this cafe by ourselves. First time I tried coffee and classic bagels without fillings. This time we took brunches (croque madame and croque monsieur bagels), americano, and lemonade. The food overall was good, but honestly, for me, the taste was too oversaturated and too salty. Salt cheese, salt ham, and too-salt sauce. Also, the bagels were not so fresh, as it was difficult to cut them. The drinks were good. Even though, we got our order ready in 6 minutes, which is the quickest brunch serving in my life. The interior is great, the dinnerware was really beautiful, and the lady room was also clean. There is an opportunity to get tap water which is also great. But the main problem is the service. When we entered the cafe, there were no greetings from staff at all. Even though there were only 2 customers in the cafe except us. You also need to order not at the table, but go to the cashier. This is strange as the price list for the menu is quite much higher than average similar places in the city center location. So for such prices, the service must be appropriate with the opportunity to order at the table. We asked if they had freshly squeezed orange juice or bottled orange juice, and the staff answered that they didn't have it. After we paid our order, I noticed bottled orange juice in the window case. How could staff not know their menu for food and drinks, when the cafe has been working for more than one month now? Also, the overall impression about staff was not good. I understand that sometimes bad days could happen, but why your customers should suffer because of it? Even one smile, or being polite to your customers could improve situations in the future. I hope that my review could help the owner to fix the problem with staff...
Read moreStopped by Lucky Bagel on Kalvarijų g. 55 for breakfast and had a nice experience overall. I went for the "Beigelis su jautiena" – the bagel was fresh, packed with juicy slices of beef, and had just the right balance of texture and flavor. Really satisfying start to the day.
To drink, I chose a bottle of Tori Rabarberi, a non-alcoholic rhubarb sparkling drink – refreshing and lightly tangy, paired well with the sandwich. Wrapped it up with two espressos, both nicely pulled with a good crema and served in charming vintage-style cups.
I also appreciate how the place uses the "Greet" system for payments and menu – very smooth and modern experience. As a Local Guide, I love that they’ve integrated all the features Google Maps offers, including having their full menu available right there, which is super convenient.
A couple of things could be improved though:
The cleanliness of the tableware could use a bit more attention – nothing major, but noticeable.
Also, the menu prices on Google Maps don’t match the ones in the café. A small detail, but can lead to confusion.
Otherwise, it’s a cozy spot with great vibes and solid food. Will...
Read moreWe visited here like a month ago and I’m just writing my review. Firstly, I really liked the beefy bagel and I recommend you to try. It's a bit pricey, but it's something different. However, I didn’t like the cinnamon roll at all. First, the waiter didn't know how to pick up a cinnamon roll with tongs. He grabbed the roll but couldn’t get the whole piece, and he didn't give me the part he left behind. It's not a big deal, but it shows that he's not very attentive. I started eating my cinnamon roll, but unfortunately, I couldn't finish it. It was tough and way too sweet for me. It's expensive for such a small cinnamon roll, and it was disappointing to find out that it wasn't feeling fresh. However, I would come back again for a bagel and would try a...
