Went here for the cinema as it was the only cinema nearby showing a specific movie in a specific language. The ambience of the mall was very sketchy from the moment we stepped into the mall. Place is visited mostly by foreign workers from Indonesia or Bangladesh or Myanmar.
Anyway, we had some time to kill before the movie, about two hours, so we decided to check out some other entertainments like the arcade or the bowling center, we decided to check out the arcade first. Our first impression was it was really dark, very few lights. Though, there were a lot of interesting machines at the entrance.
We decided to check out the rest of the arcade, also known as "AMUSEMENT CENTER" because there may be better machines at the end. We were also looking for a counter to perhaps exchange for tokens. We as young adults, were amused by the fact that there were Subway Surfer machines towards the back of the place, we decided to go check out more machines as it looked like the main area of the arcade where all the good machines are. Without my knowledge, a Chinese uncle started shouting at me in Mandarin. "KEEP YOUR PHONE!" "KEEP YOUR PHONE!" "KEEP YOUR PHONE!"
I was confused as I didn't understand Mandarin but when he said to keep my phone in Malay, as a collective group, we realised there was illegal stuff happening there. All middle-aged men sitting with backs near the walls of the room. "Definitely" playing Subway Surfers. So, DONT EVER GO THE ARCADE. DON'T. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
In the case of cheap clothing and maybe some cheap tech or a need to buy something that you can only find here, yes it's good. But other than that, please avoid this place if you can. Even if the movie you want to watch can only be found here, Queensbay Mall is better. In fact, any mall is probably better than this...

Read moreTLDR: AVOID THIS AWFUL MALL AT ALL COST.
Stupid mall with brainless parking price. A whopping 2.40 an hour. For such poorly maintained parking lot. Utterly disgusting. Management wants money so much that it's horrifying. For comparison, a much much much (x10) better and more classy place like Queensbay Mall only charges RM 2 for first the 2 hour on weekend. What kind of quality do you provide that you think you deserve RM2.40 PER HOUR? Use your fooking brain, KBJ management. Oh sorry, guess you don't have any. Besides, the floor numbering of the parking lot and mall are different that it's confusing. Pls give award to the management for this genius idea. More time spent to find you parking = more money 🤑🤑🤑. Money faced management.
Other than that, there's really nothing to shop in this mall. Full of foreign workers, like 90%. Repetitive shops providing the same services.
Excellent place to come if you like the scent of Bangladeshi dudes and...
