There were plenty of issues with this place. Firstly, the queue was so long that people gave up waiting, and not only that, we queued up for a dragon rollercoaster ride for a while and halfway, it ended up having technical issues and all the people were forced to leave. That was probably at least 20 minutes gone. We queued up for the racer rollercoaster ride next. We queued for nearly 2 hours and it was almost our turn. Then, the ride was closed due to weather conditions: rain that had not even started. All the outdoor rides were closed. Fair enough, lets go to the indoor rides then. We queued up for a ninjago ride for over an hour and once again, it was almost our turn, and there was ANOTHER technical issue. We were chased out for the third time that day. I was really annoyed. Finally, when all the rides had reopened, we queued up at a ride that we had to use ropes to pull ourselves up to the top. We observed that for three times, there was one of the things that wasn't working, and the riders couldn't even get off the bottom. The unfriendly staff didn't even care about them and just let them go like that. The third time, my aunt had to remind them to give another turn. And still after that, when it was finally our turn, we were directed to the faulty thing and had to tell them for a SECOND time that it wasnt working and they didn't even believe us and complained those people had no strength when it clearly was their fault and we had to tell them AGAIN that we had seen it happen three times in a row and they finally admitted to it unwillingly. My cousin and brother, aged 6 and 7 queued up for a car ride and waited forever. They didn't even have a signboard outside, my cousin and brother finished the queue then only they realised that only age 3-5 could enter. The staff didn't even give them a chance and they had to beg them to do so. The next day, it was 5.10pm and we wanted to enter the park. It was like 50 minutes before the park closed, but the rude staff did NOT let us in and we had to call my father (who was already deep inside the park), to come all the way to the entrance just to pick us up. All I wanted to do is go to the LEGO shop to buy something and they still didnt let me. There was no such thing in all other theme parks. Honestly, really disappointed with...
Read moreWARNING! WARNING! WARNING!!! Do NOT attempt to come on a Wednesday or have a day on Tuesday with intent to coming on a Wednesday. The normal park is CLOSED (water park closed on Tuesday, Aquarium open all the time). No refunds for your mistake, even though it is ONLY posted at the hotel reception once you arrive.
I came on a Tuesday night with intent to stay Wednesday through a travel company and lost out on more money than I'm comfortable to post online.
Came here years ago, maybe 2017/2018, I can't recall, but it's changed, and maybe not for the better...
Legoland Malaysia is still a nice place, but more kid centric than many other Legolands.
Con: Many of the rides and restaurants were closed that it was saddening.
Con: Most of the Lego kragled displays in the park are very weather worn (often significantly damaged or very faded) and in need of replacement.
Con: Confusing signage... For the Dragon ride, the entrance is not where it says "The Dragon." Instead, turn left and go to the innocuous "Entrance," and since the line was so slow and so many people were leaving that I was uncertain I had picked the correct door (again).
Con: There is one spot to trade minifigures. The selection is very boring. Tried to trade with a few cast members, but they no longer participate in this, it seems. Rather sad because they had much better figures.
Pro: I hear a taxi ride to JB is only like 60MYR, and cabs are readily available at the hotel. I'm going to test this out since my ride can't be reached and isn't available until 5 pm on a day the...
Read moreWe were lucky and went on a weekend that wasn’t too packed. I’d say school/public holidays will be worse… and my experience would not be the same
Some of the staff who run the rides are very slow and inefficient. They allow everyone to sit in the rides as they please, then proceed to tell you that you need to change places or switch with others bc of certain restrictions. If your child is tall enough they automatically assume they want to ride without their parents and start splitting up groups really inefficiently causing a lot of confusion. Overall, there is a lack of communication to riders before getting on the rides so the whole process is slowed down.
It might help to have signs that show, for example, children should be seated inside. Or that only 2 adults can be seated on one ride (beetle bump). Just to name a few….
It would also be great to have water dispensers around the park. We had to buy and throw several plastic bottles of water, when we had brought our own bottles hoping to refill them throughout the day. I think the park should really look at a more sustainable solution.
It helped that we were several adults and were able to split up and have one ride with the kid, while the other line up for another ride. Made a huge difference in cutting down waiting time.
Loved the variety of activities around the park. My kids had fun ! Big thumbs up to a few dancers at the last show in beginning stage who were really giving...
