As to date this is not a place for middle income locals. The current cluster of buildings making the new Sutera Harbor town center with water front promenade has got only local tourist patronising the outlets. I visited on a weekend it is like a dead town. There are a smattering of expatriates , there was group get together for "expatriates housewifes" during my visit at their favorite "bierhaus". Apart from that most of the counter salesperson were able to doze off. But the surrounding residence gated community are something else. They are gorgeous ( I didnt visit the highrise condo units) , if only the township is fully developed in maybe 10-15 years, any residence there would be the envy of the town. Even so, you will have travel about 5-6km to buy even a bar of soap. No 7-11 anywhere near and I guess your shopping is like stocking up your pantry for a long winter somewhere in Alaska. There are no public transport service, no taxi station probably you need Grab to get there. I was wondering how those bluecollar workers commute there on their minimum wage. I could probably revisit this place again in 10 years to review but if there are no positive development, I am afraid this place is going to be a ghost town. I am a realist not a pessimist. Only the overly optimistic review are people who owned properties there but dont forget Iskandar Puteri was targetting expatriates to populate the township/ city. Again without support from Federal Govt. policy, 75% of the original target plans...
Read moreWe recently visited Puteri Harbour, and overall, the experience was pleasant and smooth. Here are a few helpful points for future travelers:
Friendly and Helpful Staff The counter staff were very friendly and helpful during the ticket purchasing process. It made the start of our journey stress-free.
Clean Environment, But Some Renovation Ongoing The area was clean and well-maintained. However, during our visit, the ground floor was under renovation. Because of this, the toilets were not accessible on the ground floor — you’ll need to go upstairs and follow the signage to locate them.
Immigration and Security Process The Customs (Kastam) officers were polite and professional. They conducted detailed checks on all bags and luggage, and everyone must pass through a scanner. It’s important to cooperate and allow a bit of extra time for this process.
Important Travel Tips Make sure your passport is valid and check that you don’t have any travel restrictions (such as being barred from overseas trips). These issues can ruin your plans last minute if not checked early.
Transport Access Getting a Grab (e-hailing service) from Puteri Harbour was easy and convenient. No major issues with...
Read moreI recently visited the harbour and was thoroughly impressed with the beauty and vibrancy of the area. The harbour was clean, well-maintained, and bustling with activity. There were a variety of restaurants, shops, and attractions to explore, making it an ideal destination for both tourists and locals alike.
One of my favorite aspects of the harbour was the stunning waterfront views. The sparkling water and boats bobbing in the waves made for a picturesque backdrop, and I found myself taking many photos to capture the moment.
The restaurants at the harbour were also excellent. There were many options to choose from, ranging from casual cafes to upscale fine dining establishments. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent.
In addition to the restaurants, there were also many shops selling souvenirs, clothing, and other goods. The variety of shops made it easy to find something for everyone, and the prices were reasonable.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at the harbour and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and vibrant destination. The views, food, and activities make it an ideal place to spend a day or evening, and I look forward to visiting again...
