Hair Play — Attraction in Kuala Lumpur

I've been wanting to write this review and it's always fallen to the bottom of my to-do list. Now, I think it is time that I write it after all it is 10 years since I started visiting Hairplay and had Shaun style my hair through the years. I do not have long hair and I actually get Shaun to cut my hair short. I am probably one of the very few he does this with because I do not cry when my hair is cut and also because my philosophy is "Hair will Grow". Hence, he's been really good at experimenting with my hair cut and colour, through the years. I haven't had a bad cut in all this time although my mum may say it is a wee bit short which Shaun has taken into consideration when cutting my hair. For that I am grateful. Shaun is always good at listening to what I want or need and is always happy to receive feedback, when warranted!

Apart from good cuts, Shaun also recommends colours for the cuts to complement it. Currently I am growing out my grays and Shaun also had ready tips and recommendations for that.

I attach photos of my hairstyles through the years. Thank you Shaun and Hairplay. Many who ask where I get my hair done always get referred to Hairplay and they have no complaints either! Not from their cuts, for sure but perhaps in making appointments because they can be busy during festive seasons so book in advance and keep a note in your calendar!!

From booking of an appointment to end of my visit at this saloon, everything was executed beautifully including hospitality of all the staff at this place and I feel so happy.

The steps taken to understand needs of a customer ahead of hair wash, hair cut or a final decision on what hairstyle to suits me best for now, makes this place extra special in comparison with all other saloon’s that I’ve visited locally and abroad.

The hair washing process was beautifully completed by Linda. There was no water flowing into my ears, great quality More is More shampoo was used and temperature of water was just right.

The high standard work that Shaun delivers for a haircut is also another point that I greatly appreciate.

Looking forward to recommending this place and coming back in future.

Today is my second visit at HairPlay, this second visit was for my fiancee. Their senior stylist, Clement attended to my fiancee. I did my hair just less than a week ago here with Liang. Safe to say i’ve tried them for both men & women styling. I couldnt put into words on how perfect, acommodating, flawless the two stylists have graced us & our hair with. They took their time and even went the extra mile to explain how hair works and why their way is different from most salons. Liang even helped me to look for a specific haircare and explains why i need which hair brush to name a few of my many enquiries. I also like how the professional stylists did from A-Z, no assistants take-overs in between, it just felt super exclusive and special. This for me, truly justifies the price tag.
