Title: A Midweek Delight: 康乐夜市's Exclusive Wednesday Extravaganza Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) 康乐夜市, open exclusively every Wednesday, is a hidden gem that has quickly become a highlight of my week. This night market, though open only once a week, manages to pack an impressive punch of culinary delights, unique finds, and a vibrant atmosphere. From the moment I stepped into 康乐夜市, I was enveloped in an electric ambiance. The market buzzed with activity, with vendors showcasing an impressive array of goods and mouthwatering street food. The scent of sizzling delicacies wafted through the air, instantly drawing me towards the rows of stalls. The variety of food options available was staggering. From traditional local dishes to international flavors, 康乐夜市 leaves no taste bud unsatisfied. Each vendor seemed to be a master of their craft, and I found myself indulging in an eclectic feast that spanned multiple cuisines. It was a delightful adventure for the palate, and every dish was a testament to the dedication and skill of the vendors. Beyond the culinary wonders, 康乐夜市 is a treasure trove of unique finds. Artisans and craftsmen showcased their talents with an array of handmade goods, from intricately designed jewelry to beautifully crafted home decor. It was a pleasure to explore the stalls, knowing that each purchase supported local artists and craftsmen. The Wednesday exclusivity of 康乐夜市 adds an air of anticipation and excitement. It's a weekly event that locals and visitors alike eagerly await, creating a sense of camaraderie and community. The limited opening hours enhance the market's allure, making every visit feel like a special occasion. One minor consideration is that due to its popularity, 康乐夜市 can get quite crowded. Navigating through the throngs of visitors may require a bit of patience, but the vibrant atmosphere and the treasures waiting to be discovered more than make up for it. In conclusion, 康乐夜市 is a Wednesday night destination that has earned its place as a cherished tradition. Its exclusive opening adds an element of excitement, and the variety of offerings, from delectable street food to unique handcrafted goods, make it a must-visit for locals and visitors alike. This night market is a true testament to the vibrant culture and entrepreneurial spirit of the community it serves. A solid five stars.

Pasar Malam Taman Connought, is a night market located at community/housing area. The nearest public transport is Taman Connaught (MRT) Station, you need to walk along the main road or you can grab there. Not recommended driving there. It's almost impossible to get a parking space. This market is dominant by Chinese Stalls. UCSI universities is at the end of the road where McD located. This is the reason, there are plenty of Universities Students hang around weekly. As for food - not every stall is the best in town, but you can try quite a number of local street food here. Some store are selling expensive, especially the younger seller. But there is also a decent food stall, selling at the best value in town. EG: fruits Jelly - this stall owner is selling a honest scale. Chilling, smooth, texture is just good and not too sweet. Worth trying. Fried Cempedak, personally I find is a bit pricey. It was a raining day when I went, the fried Cempedak is soft and not crispy. Charge at Rm20 for less than 10 pieces. Still a lot of fried squid, hotdogs, fried chicken, fried noodles, noodles soup, salted crab, salted chicken, cakes, desserts, dimsum, fruits, tidbits, drinks, hair accessories, flowers, handphone accessories and a lot more. But there are plenty of repeatation too. This is a good place to recki and hang around with friends. Crowded, not suitable for old folks and baby/toddler. Unless you are ready to carry them to walk a long distance.

I honestly cannot recommend this place or understand why it’s a big attraction. It’s quite inaccessible, crowded, and not culinarily varied imo. Getting here: if you come here via MRT it is NOT walkable via Taman Connaught MRT despite what the name suggests, you would have to take a GrabTaxi or walk from Taman Mutiara MRT (which is about 30 mins through a neighbourhood, but at least not by the highway). I know it’s only about 5RM for a Grab but still. Vibes: It’s incredibly crowded and not a fun experience walking through IMO given how narrow the walking space is. You’re just shoulder to shoulder with everyone walking little steps at a time. Good thing is that there’s traffic guards in between the sections of the night market to let cars in and out. Parking is a nightmare if you drive since it seems pretty backed up on the road with people parking wherever with some people saying they’ve gotten their cars broken into. Most of the food stalls are Chinese and have the trendy foods like black stinky tofu, fried chicken chop, Mala glass noodles, salted-egg flavored things, etc, all things you would find at a majority Chinese night market, but if you’ve been anywhere else in Asia this is a pretty unimpressive night market.. You can find more Malaysian regional stuff like apam balik, otak otak, nasi lemak, kuih, but these stalls are not as plentiful as the Chinese foods stalls. Something positive: I enjoyed the chicken feet, apam balik, and otak-otak though. Prices: The chicken feet was kinda expensive at 15RM given that can get you close to a nice whole meal here, otak otak was about 2.50RM for 4pc, apam balik was 2.20RM for fresh big palm sized slice. Shopping: kinda sucks here as you’d only find screen protectors, portable fans, and plastic slippers. Fresh fruits are not cheaper just average priced too but I suppose nobody’s doing grocery shopping here anyways I would rather just eat at the mamak.

Parking & the insane crowd are nightmares, not even the rain could tone them down 🙃 anyway it’s still a positive experience as weather is chilly and not stuffy at all 😮💨 Its location is actually quite walkable from MRT Taman Connaught Entrance A/Cheras Sentral/Maxim Residence. Do note that there’s no designated walkway for pedestrians hence be extra alert of vehicles on the road. This route is always super congested every Wednesday evening till night so it’s kinda easy compared to when the drivers are able speed. Alternatively, board bus T410 at MRT Taman Connaught Entrance A then take off at the first stop. F&B wise: good selection but some could be repetitive and most favour Chinese eaters. Price is definitely high for night-market standard but at least the quality & taste are pleasant. For us, waiting time is bearable (we went around 730pm) as most, if not all, of our orders are ready within 15mins (including CKT, laksa, China’s crepe, hand-punched juices etc.) Plus point: amazing sunset view 😍

You will be spoilt by the varieties of foods. This is the longest (claimed to have over 200+ stalls) night market in Kuala Lumpur, nd only open every Wednesday night only. Stalls from fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, varieties of cuisine, dessert, beverages, local fashion, accessories, local snacks and moreeee. It is very crowded, so beware of pick pocket. Highly recommended the salted egg char kuay tiao (in my picture). You can skipped the chow tofu stall (in my picture) Prawn cake (韭菜虾饼)stall must try (in my picture) Fried chempedak stall you can skipped, flour over power the chempedak, oily and smelly oil on the flour (臭油味). And it cost RM18, over rated and over price. Peanut candy (花生糖), dragon floss candy(龙须糖). Claimed by uncle he is from Hong Kong and have 50 years experienc50oing this. Can try. My husband love the Peanut candy and my in law love the dragon floss candy. None for me. Cos I am not a Peanut or candy person

THE LONGEST PASAR MALAM (night market) in the country! So don't be surprised if nothing is cheap since it has become famous. It's still interesting to go visit once in a while. some of the stuff you can find: - chow tow foo (stinky tofu/bean curd) - ban chang kueh (pancake) but now with pandan, peanut butter, cheese and even oreos - fried durian (be careful, one seller sold 5 pieces for RM15. what the hell) - pork burger - sizzling lamb - peanut candy (or dragon beard?) - pomegranate juice and a bunch of other takoyaki-style food that I found too expensive but will appeal to girls and food lovers. Of course, there are the usual stalls selling fruit and vegetables at one end, electronic gadgets (fidget spinners being the latest craze) and clothing, but food seems to be the main thing in this pasar malam. Parking can be difficult so find a spot anywhere you can, but BE CONSIDERATE and never block other vehicles.
