Titiwangsa Park is one of the most beautiful and spacious recreational parks in Kuala Lumpur, offering a perfect balance of nature, relaxation, and city views. This is the kind of place that makes you forget you’re in the middle of a busy capital because the greenery, wide-open spaces, and peaceful lakes create such a refreshing atmosphere.
The park is best known for its large lake, which reflects the skyline of Kuala Lumpur. On a clear day, you can see iconic landmarks like the Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower from across the water, making it a very popular spot for photography and evening strolls. Many people come here just to catch the sunrise or sunset views, and both are equally stunning with the city lights or golden skies as a backdrop.
What makes Titiwangsa Park special is how versatile it is. Joggers and cyclists will love the wide, well-paved paths that go around the lake and through tree-lined sections of the park. Families often come here for picnics, as there are plenty of shaded areas under big trees where kids can run around freely. The children’s playground is spacious and well-equipped, and there are also sports facilities such as futsal, tennis, and basketball courts, which make it lively in the evenings and weekends.
For those who enjoy a slower pace, the park is full of relaxing spots to simply sit and enjoy the scenery. The sound of birds, the calm water, and the breeze through the trees create a soothing environment. Couples often walk hand-in-hand around the lake, while photography enthusiasts can be seen setting up cameras to capture the reflections of the KL skyline.
The park also features a small boating area where visitors can rent paddle boats, making it fun for families with children. Occasionally, cultural or community events are held here, adding to the lively atmosphere. Despite being popular, the park never feels overcrowded because of its size — there’s always space to find your own quiet corner.
Cleanliness and maintenance are commendable. The walking paths, facilities, and toilets are kept in good condition, and security is present, giving visitors a sense of safety. The landscaping has been done thoughtfully with palm trees, flowering plants, and neatly trimmed lawns, giving the entire park a well-cared-for look.
Accessibility is also a plus point. Located close to the city centre, Titiwangsa Park is easy to reach by car or public transport, and there’s parking available for those who drive. The park is also wheelchair- and stroller-friendly in most areas, making it suitable for all ages.
Overall, Titiwangsa Park is more than just a green space — it’s a community hub, a fitness destination, and a peaceful retreat all in one. Whether you want to jog in the morning, spend a fun day with family, take stunning skyline photos, or just relax by the lake, this park has something for everyone. It’s truly one of Kuala Lumpur’s treasures and highly recommended for both locals...
Read moreA nice park when it's not crowded. I advise avoiding the place on weekends. This area used to be tin mine and that's why the lake exists - it's and abandoned mining pool. The forefathers of Malaysian Chinese first came to Malaya to mine tin in places like this that were away from the historic center of town. Today there are very beautiful trees and flower beds. There are also fish in the lake. A bad experience during my visit was that all visitors to the park were asked to leave due to some set-up of installation art and event booths. They shouldn't turn the park into a place for never-ending events. It should be a place free of annoying business activities and just be a park. There is a beautiful residential neighborhood surrounding the park with some old houses and mansions - some are we'll kept and other need a bit of work but it adds to the charm of the area.
I'm gonna give it 2 stars due to the poor experience today and I also was put off by the geopolitical messages about the middleast in their...
Read moreCould be a lovely place, but not at all maintained. Gardeners just pulling out weeds and pruning plants. All the plastics lying around everywhere have been there for months, possibly years. The amount of plastic bags in the water and flying around the air is crazy. All the fish and turtles, and other water creatures will suffocate on the bags, plastic waste, and bottles. It's absolutely everywhere. I walked around the entire water feature. Beautiful animals and birds habitat covered in plastic waste and cigarette butts. Government need to clean this mess up ASAP. Malaysia never used to be this filthy when I was younger. I visited several decades ago and the country was great. The huge flooding of immigrants into this country have changed it...
