We went there on January 28, 2024@1130H.
Long queue already started by the time we arrived. Initially, we planned to pass this restaurant because we don't like queuing for food but I finally decided to queue because I wanted to visit to national art gallery after eating which is just nearby this restaurant. Queue time around 10 minutes, food waiting time around 20 minutes.
We were ushered and seated to a very shady and windy place, almost feel like I'm in the jungle. Pretty enjoyed the environment although the cleanliness is not at optimum conditions. Chair and table still left with food sauce and stains from previous customers although the waiter already cleaned the table. No worries, I always get wet tissue ready.
We wanted to order the braised mushroom chicken feet and tofu pok stuffed minced meat but they are sold out. Hokkien loh bak, fried fish cake, and fuzhok shrimp roll were all good especially fish cake. Their signature zha Jiang noodle is topped with loads of crunchy pork lard, spring onions and minced meat. I love the side dishes over their signature zha Jiang noodle. The taste of zha Jiang noodle is just average and it doesn't worth my time queuing under hot sun, but it's unique on its own. Not many restaurant owners will offer crunchy pork lards on their dish. It's the fragrance of pork lard that made it stand out from ordinary wan tan noodles.
This restaurant although is hawker style but decorated with interesting details. Love the koi fish at the entrance of restaurant.
Btw, it's close from 9/2/24- 16/2/24 for Chinese new year long break...

What an ambience in the middle of KL city!! This is a hidden gem I would say. I have been in KL for 8 years now and although I have been going frequently to Titiwangsa, I wasn't aware that there is a cafe in here. This place is great for breakfasts I would say. Food wise I really loved their Zha Jiang Noodles compared to Wantan Noodles. Just that the taste of food here doesn't match every time I visited. Wantan noodles had a weird sticky and chewy texture which I disliked. However, their Zha Jiang noodles and Curry mee is definitely tasty and will keep me to repeat again. Their sides order like fried wantan and fried dumplings was mouth watering. You guys can give a try to hainam coffee but not to kopi peng as tasted terrible. This place mainly accept CASH ONLY and please bring enough amount of money with you. Price wise I would say it's slightly high compare to some other places out there. I would advise to come on weekdays to avoid long queue during Saturday and Public Holidays. They are closed on Sunday.
UPDATE : please don't come 1pm onwards as they'll run out of some items which will probably lead you to disappointment.
UPDATE : Curry mee was quite disappointing today and the guy who took our order don't have the courtesy to ask if I want meehoon mee or just mee which leads me to have just a curry mee. It makes me really disappointed and I just pick and eat tofu and pork pieces while I just left my noodles and walk away after paying up. I have to think twice before coming here again and this restaurant will no longer be my top to...
Read moreKnown for the restaurants that hidden inside the tree forest area that has been operated for more than 50 years, hence even some residents nearby also didn't aware that this stall did exists until they discover this place by accident or out of curiosity. Basically, this restaurant serves dried noodles, soup noodles, meats and Hainanese style coffee / ice. It is often fully seated during weekend and public holiday morning for breakfast, so have to wait for another one to done serving first before your turn. Even the parking also very limited too so it is best to carpool instead. What I like about this restaurant is that it is surrounded by forest and tree, and it is very open air area hence not just surrounded by nature, but also can breath fresh air. While it is located near the drain too, the drain aren't dirty and smelly too, hence there are additional two tables near the drain, which I am sitting during the dine-in session. We ordered Wan Tan Mee and Hainan Iced Tea. Wan Tan Mee tastes good as it is sweet enough, not too wet nor dry, and comes with sweet char siew pork and wonton soup. Even their drinks portion are also huge too. Definitely will recommending visit this stall if you happens to visit...
